IWD

International Women's Day Co-writing Weekend
Deadline: February 17/22

SaskMusic presents an online co-writing event March 12-13 as part of our International Women's Day activities for 2022. A forum to exercise your co-writing skills, collaborate with new peers, and have a fun, inspiring weekend. Sign up before Feb 17!

For this project, twelve songwriters will be selected and organized into groups to co-write. Each group will be matched with a mentor to help them through the process. Those chosen for this event will also participate in opening seminars about co-writing and generating song ideas, plus group sessions to allow for networking.

Songwriters applying for this opportunity must be available online from 10am-5pm on March 12, and 1-5pm on March 13.

Artist Applications Now Open for The Great Escape 2022
Final Deadline Reminder: February 13/22

Calling all artists! Artist registration for The Great Escape 2022 is now officially open. The Great Escape welcomes artists from every genre across the globe to apply for a chance to play at the world’s most renowned festival for breaking new talent. You will be performing with the beautiful seaside backdrop of Brighton, where 450+ acts will be filling over 35 venues, making  May 11th-14th, 2022 one hell of a weekend and a great opportunity to meet key music industry figures who come to TGE looking for the next big thing. Artist registration will close on 13th Feb 2022, but their bookings team are constantly monitoring and reviewing all submissions as they come in and will endeavour to be in touch with you as quickly as possible.

Breakout West

Breakout West Showcase and Awards submissions now open!

Although they just wrapped their digital event, Breakout West is ready to get rolling for fall's IN-PERSON BreakOut West in Calgary, September 28-October 3/22. Festival submissions are now OPEN! Western Canadian acts - apply to perform live!

Mformontreal

M for Montreal Seeking Artist Applications
Deadline: June 6

After an hybrid 16th edition in 2021, M for Montreal is back in force! From November 16 to 19, more than 200 industry professionals are awaited in Montreal to participate in an event once again combining online activities and various in person happenings. 

Artists and professionals wishing to apply for the Official Selection of this 17th edition can answer to the call for artists, presented by the Caisse de la Culture Desjardins, from today until midnight on June 6.
