The Saskatchewan Indigenous Music Association hosted their third annual awards ceremony on Saturday, October 11 in Prince Albert, at the EA Rawlinson Centre.
The evening featured performances from various musicians including Donny Parenteau, Andrea Menard, Charlie Major, the SIMA Band, and various award nominees.
SaskMusic was also proud to be a Bronze Sponsor this year, and to have announced the winner of Emerging Artist of the Year in-person in Prince Albert.
The winners of this year's SIMA Award's are:
- Emerging Artist of the Year: Terri Anne Strongarm
- Country Roots Artist of the Year: Darryl Anderson
- Rap Artist of the Year: Raythenihilist
- Gospel Recording of the Year: Donald McCallum
- Indigenous Language Recording of the Year: Carl Crane

- Youth Award Winner (Under 18): Julianna Parenteau
- Song of the Year: Big tones – Shine
- Instrumentalist of the Year: Sean Bougie
- Heavy Metal/Rock/Blues Group or Person of the Year: BlackRain
- Willard Ahenakew Recipient Award: Carl Crane
- Female Artist of the Year: Terri Anne Strongarm
- Male Artist of the Year: JJ Lavallee
- Fans Choice of the Year: Terri Anne Strongarm
