In Tune 2021 Call for Submissions - Deadline September 17th, 2021

Call for artist submissions! We are preparing a new volume of our In Tune compilation album series. This edition will be released as a double vinyl, and will be available to the public (preorders), and distributed to Canadian and international industry professionals in export markets.

This compilation will serve as a calling card of Saskatchewan music around the world throughout the year. Representing the best new music by our province’s diverse array of export-ready artists, it will enable SaskMusic to highlight a selection of songs that will help to open doors to showcase opportunities, airplay, publicity, and licensing opportunities for our artists. Submissions open to members in all genres.

Closing the Gap

National Survey: Closing the Gap

“Closing the Gap: Impact and Representation of Indigenous, Black, and People of Colour (IBPOC) Live Music Workers in Canada” is a national research project led by the Canadian Live Music Association (CLMA) and its partners.

The study is designed to provide a more detailed picture of the opportunities for, and barriers to, addressing racism and discrimination in the live music sector. The study’s findings and recommendations will inform the development of an industry-wide action plan to implement more inclusive practices nationwide.

Anyone and everyone working in the live music community across Canada is encouraged to participate. Those completing the survey will have a chance to win a random draw for a $200 gift card every week the survey is open. A final report outlining the study’s findings and recommendations will be made publicly available at the conclusion of the research later this year at: www.canadianlivemusic.ca.
