CFCR

CFCR Radio Summer Camp for youth aged 12-16

The CFCR Radio Summer Camp will be a youth empowerment project focused on skill-building in the realms of Radio, Media, and Podcasting. Participants will be immersed in a creative, supportive online atmosphere where they will learn and be challenged through daily activities. The intended outcome will be for the youth to walk away feeling empowered, with all of the skills to host their own live radio or spoken word program. The final projects produced during camp will hit the airwaves, with downloads available online. Due to COVID-19, they are hosting the camp online via zoom. Youth will be encouraged to remain engaged with the station, and when CFCR is able to onboard new volunteers in person for live studio training, participants will be welcomed to come to the station in person.

SMMART

SMMART Applications are now open! Deadline August 21, 2020

SMMART stands for “social media marketing for artists”. SMMART aims to provide Saskatchewan artists with opportunities to create new digital content and then give them the skillset to turn that content into the various marketing products that will help them increase their profile online, gain new audiences and engage with both collaborators and consumers in new ways. Through eight online social media marketing workshops, artists will gain the knowledge to take their new digital content and use it to further their careers by creating strategic social media marketing campaigns.

The Creative City Centre, funded by the Canada Council for the Arts’ Digital Strategy Fund, and in partnership with SaskMusic and Sâkêwêwak Artists Collective, has launched SMMART to help creatives learn the essential social media marketing tools needed to succeed online.
