SaskMusic has obtained a grant from the Government of Canada via the Cultural Human Resources Council of Canada to bring on a student for a full-time 18-week internship this fall-winter.

Our intern will work alongside our staff in an administrative capacity, assisting with tasks including data entry and research collection, outreach to individuals in the music industry, and helping to provide information and resources to our membership. The intern will help us with various projects including the Very Prairie Music Summit and Saskatchewan Music Awards (which may be presented online this year), and the marketing of the Saskatchewan music industry.

This opening will be of interest to an individual who has a passion for music and/or the arts and would like to learn hands-on about the music industry, and the day-to-day workings of a busy non-profit association, while garnering practical administrative experience.

Candidates are required to be:

  • Registered as a student in a recognized Saskatchewan PSE institution in any program or field of study.
  • Legally able to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province of Saskatchewan.

The ideal applicant will be able to take initiative and is not afraid to ask questions; will care about the details; have strong typing skills; and have good written communications skills including competency in Microsoft Word and business email etiquette. You will also be adaptable to managing different types of tasks throughout the work term, and will be able to manage your time effectively.

The position will be based out of our Regina office, with flexible accommodation and resources for working from home based on public health guidelines, location of candidate, or other considerations. This posting is for a full-time 18 week position, however the number of weekly hours committed and start date (November 1 or later) are open to negotiation and flexible to accommodate class schedules. Please read our COVID-19 policy (https://www.saskmusic.org/news/covid-19) and the Canadian Code of Conduct for the Performing Arts (https://respectfulartsworkplaces.ca), which this workplace and position will adhere to, before applying.

Deadline for applications: Tuesday, October 12/2021, 5pm CST
