Funding Information Session with representatives from Canada Council for the Arts | Conseil des arts du Canada and SK Arts

September 7, 6:30-8:00pm (Sask time)
Online via Zoom
Pre-register to attend HERE.

This is not strictly a music-focused session - all creative industry folks are welcome!

Join us to learn about two important funding agencies that can help Saskatchewan creatives! Through this session, we'll take some mystery out of the application process and answer questions!

Learn how to put together a grant application for the Canada Council for the Arts. Program Officer Jennifer McKerral from the Canada Council's Explore and Create program will walk you through creating an applicant profile on the Council's portal, what types of grants are available, what to expect through the application process, and how to put your best foot forward. The Canada Council for the Arts is Canada's public arts funder. It contributes to the vibrancy of a creative and diverse arts and literary scene through grants, services, prizes and payments to Canadian artists and arts organizations.

Then learn about the programs offered by SK Arts, one of our provincial arts funding agencies. SK Arts provides grants, programs, and services to individuals and groups whose activities have an impact on the arts in Saskatchewan and ensure that opportunities exist for Saskatchewan residents to experience all art forms. Established in 1948, the Saskatchewan Arts Board, now operating as SK Arts, is the oldest public arts funder in North America, and second oldest in the world after the Arts Council of Great Britain. Program Consultant Geoff Smith will discuss typical types of projects that are considered by SK Arts, how to create your funding application, and what to include with your submission.

SMAs Opening

SaskMusic Opens 2023 Saskatchewan Music Award Nominations

SaskMusic is pleased to announce that the nomination intake for the 2023 Saskatchewan Music Awards will open on September 8.
