Breakout west

Western Canadian Music Awards and Breakout West Festival!

Submissions for the Western Canadian Music Awards and BreakOut West Festival now open. The Western Canadian Music Awards celebrates the best of artistic talent in western Canada. Each year 50+ bands from across western Canada are selected to showcase for international and Canadian delegates at BreakOut West. Apply to showcase for artist managers, booking agents, festival buyers, label reps and more this year in Winnipeg, Sept. 30 - Oct. 4. Submission Deadline March 18/20.

The 49th annual JUNO Awards and JUNO Week 2020 will be hosted in Saskatoon, March 9-15, with the televised JUNO Awards taking place on Sunday, March 15 from SaskTel Centre and broadcast live on CBC TV, the CBC Gem streaming service, and via cbcmusic.ca/junos. It will also air as a live radio special on CBC Radio One, CBC Music, and the CBC LIsten app.

Volunteer Applications Now Open for the JUNO Awards

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) invites the public to volunteer to participate in JUNO Week 2020 in Saskatoon, SK. The week-long music celebration commences Monday, March 9, closing with the country’s biggest night in music – The 49th annual JUNO Awards Broadcast – which will air live across Canada on CBC, CBC Radio and globally on Sunday, March 15.  

Volunteers will have the chance to meet and work alongside like-minded music lovers, while experiencing first-hand the unique opportunity of participating and assisting in the execution of a pillar event in the Canadian entertainment industry. Applicants must be 19 years of age or older to qualify.
