Folk Alliance Showcase Deadline July 15 5pm CST

Apply to perform at Folk Alliance International’s 32nd Conference in New Orleans, January 22-26/2019 

The annual conference is the world’s largest gathering of the folk music industry and community crossing a diverse array of genres including Appalachian, Americana, Blues, Bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Francophone, Global Roots, Old Time, Traditional, Singer-Songwriter, Spoken Word, and every imaginable fusion.

Application deadline is July 15. Artists that apply for official showcases are also eligible for first-time attendee scholarships and lower registration rates. Network with hundreds of festivals, venue bookers, agents, managers, media, and music industry reps that attend. FAI’s Official Showcases are 180 jury-selected nightly concerts featuring emerging artists and touring legends from around the world. Each showcase is a 30-minute set on a full production stage with lighting and sound.

*Key elements in your showcase app are the performance video and the touring/marketing plan.

FAI holds the early member registration rate for any artist that applies for an official showcase. There are scholarships available for artists and industry applying for the first time here.

NOTE: SaskMusic will also be coordinating private showcases at FAI however you must apply through the FAI website to be considered for an official showcase. Showcase funding support will be available to accepted artists, as well as showcase preparation coaching from SaskMusic.
