SaskMusic at Americana 2019: Showcase Opportunity

SaskMusic is heading back to Nashville TN for the Americana Festival & Conference, September 10-15. This year we will be presenting two separate showcase opportunities that will be of interest to SaskMusic members in Americana, Roots and related sub-genres. 

The first showcase opportunity is a private dinner featuring an in-the-round of singer/songwriters. Artists applying should be prepared for an acoustic showcase format in an intimate setting for key industry attendees. Two artists will be selected (details TBC).

The second is the annual Breakout West Showcase taking place at The Groove on Thursday, September 12, in partnership with Manitoba Music and Alberta Music. One artist will be selected; fuller band format preferred.

The 20th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference September 10-15, 2019, will gather thousands of artists, fans, and industry professionals from all over the world in Nashville, TN. With planning already underway, 2019 promises to once again be the must-attend event for anyone who loves the melting pot of Americana's influences including roots, folk, country, blues and soul-based music. Allan Slaight JUNO Masterclass - Submissions Open

The JUNO Awards and Slaight Music have launched the Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class in search of Canada’s next emerging artist. They’re putting three selected artists on the fast track to being “JUNO-ready”. Selected artists will travel to Toronto for a week-long workshop with artists and industry experts.

Selected artists will then attend JUNO Week and The 2020 JUNO Awards in Saskatoon, where one artist will be chosen to perform at The JUNO Gala Dinner and Awards. This program is the foundation for emerging artists who aspire to be JUNO Award nominees and winners in the years to come.
