Award Jurors
Each year, WCMA solicits help from its membership and key industry persons regionally and nationally to act as qualified jurors. Jury members are volunteering members of the music industry who are experts within their field and genre and represent the industry at large. Their knowledge and ability to interpret the current music landscape regionally and nationally makes them qualified to help select the WCMA nominees.

Former and new jurists are encouraged to apply.

1st round jury reviews will start April 2 and end April 20. 2nd round jury and member voting will start May 2 and end May 16 (dates subject to change).

Right now the extra-early bird discount is 20%, until March 21. Early bird rate follows from March 22–Aug 7.

This once-a-year event includes a 4-Day Conference, the Festival, and Western Canadian Music Awards. BreakOut West is the primary event hosted by the Western Canadian Music Alliance.

Surround yourself with hundreds of like-minded career musicians, and international industry professionals for a weekend of career boosting opportunities. Gain valuable insights and connections through speaker panels, one-on-one networking, and live industry showcases. A Night Out For Music Heals: March 3

On the first Saturday of March, we celebrate Music Therapy Awareness Month with A Night Out for Music Heals.

This annual event brings together the nightlife and bar industry to raise funds and awareness for music therapy programs across Canada. In 2017 Music Heals raised over $19,900, with 90 venues participating coast to coast!

Saskatchewan venues can get involved with a great cause: participating venues donate $1 from each admission charge on March 3. Register your venue now: nightout@musicheals.ca. Venues on board so far include Bushwakker Brewing Company, Lot Club, and Revival Music Room in Regina, and The Root Bistro in Lloydminster.
