Covers for the Cause

Covers For The Cause!

Music Heals Canada has launched a new way for artists to engage their fans and raise money for music therapy in Canada at the same time. Through Covers For The Cause, you offer your fans personalized videos of cover songs that they request, and in return the fan makes a tax-deductible donation to Music Heals.

The Music Heals Charitable Foundation raises money and awareness for music therapy in Canada. In 4 years they have donated almost $900,000 to accredited music therapy programs across the country, serving children, seniors, palliative care, burn units, the autism spectrum, mental health, at-risk youth, dementia, bereavement, rehabilitation, and more.

Visit  www.CoversForTheCause.com and create a fundraising page.

You select the minimum donation amount for cover song requests, and how many requests you want to take on. Record simple videos of the cover songs requested and include a dedication to the donor. You can simply use your phone camera and record your performance anywhere – in your rehearsal space, your living room, or some unique space.
