SAVP: Intensive Exploration of Operatic Arias for Singers & Pianists

The Summer Academy for Voice and Piano is offering an in-in-depth investigation of Italian Arias, and the opportunity to take part in the SAVP Opera Chorus.

This Workshop is designed to assist in performance and technical skills while working with other musicians, experienced award-winning teachers, and invited guest lecturers.

The weekend includes an in-depth study of pre-assigned Operatic Arias with a focus on the preparation process.  Italian arias and collaborative techniques regarding orchestral reductions will be explored.  We will offer panel discussions, masterclasses and an opportunity to apply knowledge to teamwork in an intense, positive learning atmosphere.  A Saturday evening social will offer will be planned, and a Sunday evening concert will provide the finale.
