It’s tax time! SaskMusic is happy to bring back Chartered Accountant, Bill Waynert to present our annual workshop on the subject of taxes as they pertain to artists and creative businesses.

Are you claiming your music income on your taxes now? What if you have more expenses than income - are you missing out on a tax refund? When do you have to start collecting GST? Should you register your band as a corporation? Can you claim vehicle expenses? Who should be claiming your music grant income?

We’ll cover these and many more topics such as: good record keeping practices, eligible deductions and maximizing refunds, business use-of-home and travel, donated services, self-employment vs employed services, and generally answer your questions related to taxes related to the music industry.

We encourage all Saskatchewan musicians and music industry professionals to attend and benefit from this important session. Register now!
