CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES 2018 FINALISTS FOR SPOTLIGHT PERFORMANCE CONTEST
With info from CCMA posting
Established in 2012, the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) Spotlight Performance contest creates a unique opportunity for one Canadian country music artist/act to win a coveted performance spot at Country Music Week. Partnering with provincial country music industry associations (from BC to ON) and provincial music industry associations (from NB to NFLD), the CCMA is proud to announce its 2018 Spotlight Performance contest finalists.
Representing Saskatchewan this year, as selected by the Saskatchewan Country Music Association, Aces Wyld brings together three exemplary, well-schooled musicians and songwriters who all possess a natural penchant for entertaining. Steve Andrew (lead vocals, keyboard, rhythm guitar), Brett Browatzke (lead guitar) and traditional multi-instrumentalist Sam Derbawka each bring a unique and diverse repertoire of musical influences to the table, creating an overall sound that is truly cutting-edge country, with a respectful nod to the genre’s vast traditions.

- MB: Tyler Del Pino
- ON: Buck Twenty
