The piano/drum alternative pop duo based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is releasing their second EP, 'Side Effects' , on Oct 20, 2017. The five track EP is produced, mixed and engineered by The Ghost of Adam J (Adam Grant, formerly of One Bad Son) and mastered by Case Mastering (Trevor Case).
Greg and Nathan, who first met and began playing together as Too Soon Monsoon (TSM) in September 2016, are celebrating the release of their second EP by hitting the road for the first time. TSM releases 'Side Effects' on Oct 20, which happens to be the same date that they open for Wide Mouth Mason at O’Brians Event Centre in Saskatoon. Following this show, the duo heads out west for a week of shows (see dates below)
Too Soon Monsoon recently filmed three songs as part of the Original 16 Brewery Sessions, one of which was released in August (Medicine, a track off of Side Effects). The duo also recently filmed two performances for the Empty Room Series in Regina. Following this tour, TSM will be filming a video for the single, 'Faded', which will be released before the end of the 2017. 2018 plans include the release of a full length album, summer festivals and heading out to Eastern Canada for a tour.
To get an idea of TSM’s sound, imagine Jack White, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Nicks and Lauryn Hill coming together as one to perform with a combination of Tommy Lee and Meg White. Greg’s unique vocal style and energetic presence behind the keyboard compliments the dynamic and effortless power of Nathan’s drumming.
