2017 LOCAL ARTIST APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

The 31st SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, scheduled for June 23 to July 2, 2017, is currently accepting applications from local artists to perform at the upcoming event.

“With such a strong music community, one can understand why over fifty percent of all the musicians performing at the festival annually are from Saskatchewan," said Artistic Director, Kevin Tobin. “Being able to showcase the world-class talent we have right here in Saskatchewan is a significant part of the festival's identity.”

Artists may apply online or download an application at saskjazz.com/artists. The application deadline is Monday, January 9, 2017.

About the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival
For ten days each summer, the city of Saskatoon bursts into song as the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival plays host to hundreds of world class artists. Over 85,000 hungry music fans devour the sounds of jazz, blues, funk, pop, and world music each year, with a program that spans as many genres as it does continents. The first festival took place in Saskatoon during the summer of 1987. Today it has become the second largest festival of its kind in Western Canada.
