SaskMusic congratulates the Saskatchewan nominees for the 2015 Western Canadian Music Awards. The 13th annual Breakout West and the Western Canadian Music Awards will be held September 17-20, 2015 in Victoria BC. The festival, gala and conference will run concurrently with the Rifflandia Festival, bringing together strengths of both events in hosting some of the best in western Canadian talent, increasing opportunities for artists, and networking with industry representatives from many different markets.

The Industry Awards Brunch will be presented on Saturday, September 19 at 10am at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Hotel Resort & Spa, and the Artistic Awards Gala will be presented on Sunday, September 20 at 9pm from the McPherson Theatre, Victoria. This is the first time the WCMAs are being hosted in Victoria. The four-day event encompasses a three-day music conference, a multi-genre music festival, and the two award shows. BreakOut West will have many more exciting announcements in the coming months, including the festival line-up, Hall of Fame inductee announcement, conference information, award show performers and much more!

Membership voting - for members of the Western Canadian Music Alliance associations SaskMusic, MusicBC, Alberta Music, Manitoba Music, Music NWT and Music Yukon - begins at 7am CST on May 6, 2015. Winners are determined through a combination of member votes and a juried process.

SaskMusic congratulates all of the nominees and anticipates a great event in Victoria.
