Welcome to Orchestras Canada, the national association for Canadian orchestras.
Orchestras Canada is a registered charity (charity number 119067775 RR0001) and a federally incorporated not-for-profit organization. We welcome your involvement!
Our Mission: Orchestras Canada supports, connects, and challenges Canadian orchestras, helping orchestras accomplish together what they cannot do alone.
Our Vision: A vital future for Canadian orchestras: sustainable, valued, and resilient organizations that reflect and celebrate Canadian communities.
Our Stakeholders: Orchestras Canada works for our members: Canadian orchestras of all sizes across Canada. We work with the people dedicated to advancing the orchestra sector over the longer term, whether they are staff, board members, musicians, volunteers, or industry and arts partners.
Our History: Orchestras Canada was created in 1997 as a result of the amalgamation of two organizations with proud and distinct histories – the Ontario Federation of Symphony Orchestras (established ca. 1953) and the Association of Canadian Orchestras (founded in 1972).
