Description

Skullcreek Studios is owned and operated by Aspen Beveridge, Jason Cote, and Leot Hanson. It was established by Beveridge in 2014 as a full track, mix, and master production facility based out of both Piapot and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Beveridge's journey as a producer and an audio engineer began soon after completing the Audio Engineering program at the Banff Centre for The Arts in 2011. He also participated in the Mix With The Masters program in St. Remy, France in 2016, where he worked alongside Jacquire King (City and Colour, James Bay, Kings of Leon).

We have worked with many artists and producers from across Canada at Skullcreek. Singer-songwriters from Saskatchewan, such as Will Ardell (SCMA winner), Geoff Smith, Vanessa Gauvin, and most recently, Bruce Rawling has recorded with us. Rawling has been finishing up his full-length album at the studio over the last few weeks and we're getting excited to for his upcoming release. Rawling's song “Walk on Faith”, written for the feature film Year By The Sea made the shortlist for an Academy Award in December of last year. Other artists who have worked in the studio include: Sam Folkerson, The Moon Runners, Bears In Hazenmore, Danny Vacon (The Dudes, High Kicks), and Leot Hanson (League of Wolves and formerly of The Sheepdogs). We've also had notable producers from Toronto in the studio, including Gavin Brown (Three Days Grace, Billy Talent) and Maia Davies (Mother Mother, Jill Barber).

The studio has also started a concert series called the Skullcreek Sessions. The first session was a great success which was recently headlined by The Dead South!

We use Universal Audio preamps, we have a great collection of mics, amps, instruments, and we always run the most recent version of Pro Tools.
