Description

From the skies of Saskatchewan Ava Wild began to collect inspiration and translate her world through music. With the same determination to teach herself guitar at the age of 12, Ava continues to grow in her musical abilities. Her songs are a combination of folk roots and jazz embellishments. With unique chord progressions and insightful lyrics, Ava expresses original ideas about land, love and life. There are songs about partying without alcohol; fairytales wrapped in leather; and admiration for humanity. Threading her beliefs in truth and beauty, Ava is a charismatic youth, with a tasteful sense of musicality and art.

Wild’s debut EP is a cross-section of some of her best work to date. It displays her music’s raw and organic beauty. Recorded live off-the-floor,  her audience is introduced to her panoramic abilities as an artist. Within her lyrics are original ideas about land, love and life, portrayed through an acoustic-pop, folk-root and jazz embellished genre. “I feel like a Queen when I am able to sing as loud as I want, whether anyone else hears or not. This project allowed me to explore self confidence. It feels like I am exposing a fragile truth about myself, but through doing so, I am also discovering a magical side.” Recorded at: Soul Sound Studios, Regina. Produced by: Orion Paradis and Ava Wild. Release date: September 9, 2016
