Description

LJ Tyson is a singer/songwriter from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Although he is young in years his song writing skills have not gone unnoticed. He has won the EA Rawlinson Centre Songwriter of the Year Award, he has been commissioned by the city of Prince Albert to write original music for a video highlighting the culture of the city, and he has charted on the Indigenous Music Countdown (Formerly the National Aboriginal Music Countdown). Not bad for a 23 year old!

He has performed his entire life and has had the opportunity to share the stage with Bif Naked, Hawksley Workman, and The C-Weed Band.

    103 is the debut country/pop EP from LJ Tyson. The EP features three tracks recorded with Rich McFarlane at Mosaic Music in Prince Albert. 103 was released on December 1, 2017. The lead single Locals was well received by Canadian Country Radio and a music video for the song was commissioned to promote Prince Albert Downtown.

    The Empty Room is a video series that features live off the floor recordings by select Saskatchewan artists. The idea behind the series is to capture artists' performances in a room without an audience. The recordings are done in the Hague Gallery at the Creative City Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan.
