This highly-anticipated debut album launches the Saskatoon group’s gothic post-punk into a sci-fi future that may not be far off. Songs are hypnotic while slowly and patiently taking listeners on a journey into many soundscapes. Chunks of spritely guitar notes and synths work rhythmically between mysterious backdrops and orchestral-style arrangements grounded in distinct percussive beats that rarely rely on a familiar beat. On these slow-burning mini-epics, spectral ambience inspired by The Cure is fused with the chiming dissonance of early Sonic Youth. Recorded at: home studio, Saskatoon. Produced by: Harris Newman.
