Rotten Spooky is a three-piece band featuring members from different groups and styles in Regina. Paul Bogdan (The Steves, Treebeard) and Gage McGuire (Surf Dads) join songwriter Eden Rohatensky (Orphan Mothers, Also Also Also, Eden the Cat) to form a loud and angry rock band with a pop aesthetic. The 6-track EP highlights Rohantensky’s songwriting, and the band’s heavy grunge punk sound takes her vocals in an entirely different direction from her previous pop projects. Rotten Spooky claims to taste like “a sports drink made of GG Allin and Lisa Loab with a dollop of Metallica.” Recorded at: home studio, Regina. Produced by: Chris Dimas.
