Tri-Continental is a collaborative evolution that blends the talents of three accomplished guitar players, singers and songwriters - Bill Bourne, Lester Quitzau and Madagascar Slim.

Tri-Continental released its Juno-award-winning debut album, Tri-Continental, in 2000. The trio went on to release three subsequent albums (Live in 2002, Let’s Play in 2003, Drifting in 2004) and toured extensively throughout North America and Europe during this time. Following their 2007 tours, the band decided to take a hiatus from performing as a trio to pursue their solo careers. During this break they continued to perform, write songs and record as solo artists and with other collaborations. In late 2016 the band got back together and began touring again. They released their fifth album, Dust Dance, in August of 2018.

The members of Tri-Continental are, in their own right, well-recognized and respected artists with successful solo careers. They are indeed major players in the Canadian roots music scene, who individually and collectively, are the recipients of four Juno awards and ten Juno nominations. Tri-Continental’s goal continues to keep growing musically, challenging each other to do different things than they would individually, and letting music be their common ground and inspiration. Their five albums recorded as Tri-Continental confirm, that when these artists from different parts of Canada come together, something very special and magical happens - splendid musicianship, relaxed manner and wonderful music.

Show at 8 p.m. Advance tickets will be $20 and will be available mid-February at Traditions Handcraft Gallery and Vintage Vinyl. $25 at the door. All ages and licensed.
