Submissions to SaskMusic

On this page

We want to know what you've got going on! Even if we follow your socials, we don't see everything you post (or get all the info we need from your post).

  1. Please add info@saskmusic.org to your email news lists. And in turn, please make sure you're subscribed to our SaskMusic E-release so you get all our news, deadlines, etc.
  2. Make an artist profile in our Sask Music Directory and populate your profile (also applies to studios and music businesses!) Just login to your account here (or Join, for as little as "free"), then add songs, videos, news releases and descriptions. This content feeds into various areas of our website.
  3. Add your shows to our live music listings! Login to our website to submit.
  4. Your albums/singles will live in our permanent digital archive of music made in Sask.  See submission links below.

Featured Videos - Singles - EPs/Albums

Have you got a new or upcoming release in any genre? Let us know your release date, and other news.

Singles (audio only): Submission form
New singles that the artist is promoting to the public (whether you've officially sent it to radio, or it's your current social media focus track). We ask for an MP3, streaming links, promotional photo/single artwork, a description etc. Note - each track will only be featured a maximum of once. So if you know you're putting out a video for a track, you may want to wait and submit the video, rather than the audio single.

Music videos: Submission form
Professional quality videos in promotion of a current single, whether concert, dramatic or other styles. Video blogs, lyric videos, or teaser videos are generally not considered official music videos. We ask for your public viewing link and some other details.

Albums/EPs: Submission form
Our baseline criteria for an 'album' is a) at least 30 minutes in length, or at least b) 5 tracks and >18 minutes in length. If your release is shorter, please submit a single from it. Albums meeting this criteria are purchased for our digital music archive. We ask for your album graphic, one-sheet or writeup about the album and credits list.

About selections:

We reserve the right to not feature a single or video for any reason and/or to attach content warnings as we see fit.

Live Shows

Since there are far too many individual shows in any month for us to promote them all equally, we offer our Live Music Listings calendar. All live music shows - from coffee shop shows to concerts to album release parties to music-based theatrical productions - are included. You can submit your own shows by logging into your account on this website, or emailing them to gigs@saskmusic.org. You may also add gigs@saskmusic.org to your own fan mailing list.

We do promote concerts/events that SaskMusic is presenting or co-presenting ourselves, our partnered showcases, open mic presentations, and charitable fundraisers, to name a few. Tag us in your social media posts as we will frequently add gigs for you into our listings.

Submit your news

If you would like to submit an article or press release about your latest release, tour, or other awesome achievements, login and visit the news link in your Backstage area. Selected submissions will appear in the news feed on this website. We reserve the right to correct spelling/grammar and edit for clarity before approving posts.

Community Partnerships

We recognize the importance of live performance opportunities and educational programming in our province. We occasionally work with festivals, organizations and presenters that feature Saskatchewan talent in their programming, providing various kinds of support including assistance with programming lineups, promotion, presenting workshops, having a SaskMusic presence at the event, and/or financial contributions.

Stand-alone concerts and artist tours are not generally considered for support.

To learn more about our Community Partnerships, please see this PDF.

What we don't post: Sales ads (gear for sale, or business service promotions not specifically tied to a discount for SaskMusic members); 'seeking musician' posts; GoFundMe type promotions; and items not directly relatable to the music industry. This is not a complete list.

Requests from artists/businesses outside of Saskatchewan are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note SaskMusic members are given priority.
