Saskatoon Open Door Society are delighted to invite you to the innovative online conference, Threads: Cultural Conversations, hosted by the Saskatoon Open Door Society on January 19 and 20, 2022.

Threads is a cross-cultural educational dialogue inspired by the uncertain times we're living in; migration across the globe, conflict and violence causing refugee crises, the global pandemic, inequity, systemic racism and racial discrimination, the polarization of cultures into silos based on race, religion or ethnicity and the politics of othering. Threads explores the issues, challenges and desires for Newcomers, Indigenous and non-Indigenous cultures to live in harmony, to settle and belong anew. Participatory sessions weave together knowledge, art, film, storytelling, dance, music, theatre, poetry, philosophy and more, to discuss and delve into what it means to flourish and belong as diverse peoples.

Please see below for more details on the event. Registration is FREE and easy at www.threads2022.ca. Register early for a chance to win a selection of works by our featured speakers.
