With people feeling isolated and anxious about COVID-19, Songs 4 Nature wants to offer safe, creative experiences that bring us together. So they're excited to be reviving their adult Songs 4 Nature program, this time on Zoom! Over 4 evening sessions, you will have a chance to dive into songwriting and draw inspiration from nature, supported by a team of established local artists. You’ll also find ways to connect with nature close to home or at the Last Mountain Lake National Wildlife Area, through self-guided “homework” exercises. All levels of skill and experience are welcome!

This camp is contributing to cutting-edge research about creativity and nature connection. You will be invited to take part in this research project when you register.

The songs you create may be featured on their website (www.songs4nature.ca) and the RSM’s “Nature Inspires” listening station. Also, people who take part in the whole program (all 4 sessions) will be invited to perform during a special online wind-up on August 15th. This showcase concert is being organized and will be widely promoted as a public SideDoor event.

This is a free camp but space is limited, so sign up soon by clicking here.

Registration runs from June 15 to July 6, and registration is for all four sessions, plus the August 15 Wind-up show. Priority will be given to Saskatchewan residents from June 15 to June 17.

The Facilitators

• This program is coordinated by RSM Curator of Human Ecology, Glenn Sutter, who is also a performing songwriter.
