This isn’t a SaskMusic event, but a great one! The Songwriting for Nature camp returns, this time in scenic Moose Mountain Regional Park. The retreat provides a chance to write songs and gain insights about songwriting in a wonderful natural setting. You will also be contributing to cutting-edge research about creativity and nature connection.

The program is coordinated by Royal Saskatchewan Museum Curator of Human Ecology, Glenn Sutter, who is also a performing songwriter. Facilitators are Megan Nash and Kara Golemba.

Accommodations are at the Kenosee Boys & Girls Camp, home of the famous Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party. The site includes a fully equipped lodge, cabins, space for tents, trails, and a beautiful beach. Meals are provided, along with facilitated songwriting sessions, and on-location demo recording. Songs created at the retreat will be featured in the RSM’s “Nature Inspires” exhibit and performed at a Songs for Nature Showcase .
