The Third Part of our Femme Sound Workshop Series
In partnership with IMP Labs and Girls Rock Camp Regina

Tuesday, February 26, 7-10pm. If you need to leave earlier that is fine.
University of Regina: Sound Studio Ed 242
This is on the second floor of the Education building. The Education building is between the Riddell Center & the Centre for Kinesiology, on University Drive South.

You can park in Lot 3 across from the building. The Ed building is connected to Riddell and the Kinesiology building so you can also park in Lot 6 by the kin building or lot 2/17 and walk through the buildings inside (or the parkade under Riddell and walk through inside.)

View U of R maps - there is a Mobile map version available too

You do not need to have attended parts 1 or 2 to attend this workshop.
Coffee and light nibbles will be provided. All ages are welcome.

In this final installment we will have hands-on demonstration (thank you Jaecy Bells!) of how to run a soundcheck efficiently, and how to best prepare yourself for the inevitable problems that come with running live shows. Jill will discuss common problems that often arise and the steps needed to solve problems quickly. Please register so we have a head count.

Jill Mack is a freelance sound tech living in Saskatoon. She tours with The Pack A.D, a garage-rock duo from Vancouver, as their FOH engineer and works at various venues around the city when not on the road. She has also recorded local musician, Ellen Froese’s first full length self-titled LP and plans to record their second album this winter. When she is not at a show, or consumed in the nerd-files of audio, Jill indulges in some of her favourite hobbies such as sleeping, a little yoga and sad attempts at playing drums.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW.

This workshop is FREE for all ages. Although this workshop is designed for a Femme Audience, all genders are welcome to attend. Please email brittney@saskmusic.org with any questions!
