Join SaskMusic President and Entertainment Lawyer, Kurt Dahl, as he covers the ins and outs of Band Agreements in this upcoming Skills Lab! It’s easy to get caught up in the success of your creative endeavors, but a Band Agreement is essential to avoid any potential hiccups further down the road. Things such as determining who owns the rights to your songs, the share of profit and loss considerations, who owns the name of your group, what happens when a member decides to leave, how band decisions are made are all conversations that a band should be having, regardless of where they're at in their career. No two band agreements are the same, so bring your questions as there will be plenty of time for discussion!
