Cross vivid, folk-inspired melodies with two well-travelled jesters and you’ll find jâca (ZH?-ka), a clarinet and guitar duo bursting with charm, energy and wit. Clarinetist Wesley Ferreira and guitarist Jaxon Williams blend world music with bold personality, offering fresh takes on classics and new works alike. Both hold doctorates in music and boast impressive international credentials. Wesley shines as a soloist and chamber musician, while Jaxon is a Fulbright scholar and expert in Spanish guitar. Their performances combine virtuosity, cheeky banter, and infectious rhythm. From first note to final bow, Jaca delivers an engaging, high-spirited concert experience that invites audiences to listen, laugh, and even play along.
