Two solo fretted string instrumentalists perform in Fort Qu'Appelle Saturday May 3, 2025 at 7:30pm

Fort Qu’Appelle based Chapman Stick artist Brian Baggett releases his 5th recording. Travel Past The Aftermath is an instrumental tale of moving beyond barriers and obstacles in pursuit of healing. This is Baggett’s first musical project to employ ambient sounds and looping techniques in addition to his improvisational melodic approach on the 2-handed tap style instrument. The album is dedicated to the Chapman Stick’s late creator and inventor Emmett Chapman (1936-2021) and the instrument’s premier global instructor and artist Greg Howard (1964-2023). Travel Past… features all new music by Baggett, plus the music of fellow Stick players Greg Howard, Arthur Durkee, and the orchestral classic Adagio For Strings by Samuel Barber.

Sean Bougie is an Indigenous classical guitarist from Saskatoon who has been playing for over 20 years. This long history with the instrument has allowed Sean to perform an interesting collection of classical guitar repertoire at various festivals, private events, and community gatherings around Western Canada. Sean's performances make jaws drop, hearts flutter, and minds wander. His music inspires a sense of nostalgia and captivates the listener's soul. Sean won the 2025 Instrumentalist of the Year award with the SaskMusic Awards
