Two decades ago a number of Ian Tyson's onetime sidemen, collaborators and musical admirers came together under the banner of The Gift. Collectively these musicians have worked on most of Tyson's recorded output, weaving through 50 years of Tyson's catalogue. 

Ian Tyson's career spans the folk revival of the 1960s (Ian and Sylvia), the seminal country-rock of the late 1960s and early '70s (Great Speckled Bird), and an extended solo career as one of North America's foremost purveyors of cowboy and Western music.
