Emily Kohlert and Jared Beattie live, work and practice their art on Treaty 6 lands. Formed in June 2020, Actor Director strikes boldly in a new direction, weaving many musical influences, design perspectives, and artistic practices and experiences into a lush and distinct new electronic sound, crafting sonic compositions that strike a stark contrast compared to their previous musical outlets in genres of acoustic folk and brat-punk.
