Bastard Poetry is a high-energy acoustic based rock band that has been steadily carving a name across western Canada. Their goal is simple; give people a beat to move their feet to, melody to wash the dust of everyday life away, and raw poetry to elicit emotion. All originally hailing from differing small towns we have become a band of friends united by a common dream. The group from Saskatoon is focused o...n honest catharsis; we translate our life experience translated into song, video, and poetry. The intention is simply to become inspirational and functional artists with a powerful and engaging live show. With over 100 performances, two cross Canada tours, and an overwhelmingly supportive fan base behind them, Bastard Poetry always takes pride in playing each show with the spirit and feeling as if it could be their last.
Artificial Lift
Artificial Lift is a 3 piece energetic rock band situated in Lloydminster, SK. They began playing together in 2013 as a jam band under the moniker: Biggs Hosan. They are a mix of Progressive Rock, Blues, Metal. The 5-track “Ominous EP” was released in 2014 and takes listeners into a sound-scape consisting of huge rock guitars, pulsating rhythm sections, and lyrics forged from experiences of living in the Canadian Mid-West.
Johnny 2 Fingers & the Deformities
Born at a very young age, John Dale was raised by loving middle class parents; he grew up in the middle of the Canadian prairies with all the privileges one could ask for. However John was born with a hideous physical mutation that science could never explain. He was picked on and ridiculed endlessly while growing up, eventually turning to the friendship of insects, snakes and cartoons.
During his teenage years he developed a taste for professional wrestling and rock n roll. Realizing he could never be the great wrestler he envisioned, he picked up the guitar. Unfortunately John's ego spiraled out of control, He began making boisterous and outlandish comments; claiming he was the voice of the unloved and forgotten... Claiming he was a hero... a humanitarian...
Well, John's selfish intentions became all too apparent. He developed a serious addiction to slurpees and cheeseburgers; becoming increasingly aggressive. He hired a general pack of goons to do his bidding. John was just another good apple turned bad; feeling like the world wronged him and it had a little splainin' to do. He vowed to teach society a lesson, one gig at a time... Johnny 2 Fingers was born.
