Maestra Tania Miller—former Music Director of the Victoria Symphony and Associate Conductor of the Vancouver Symphony—brings her dynamic style, charm, and grace to the podium. Canadian composer Harry Stafylakis pushes boundaries in a work that reaches forward for new horizons while also hearkening to the past. Strauss’s lyrical and youthful Wind Serenade is a soothing interlude before the brilliance of Mozart’s “Linz” Symphony.

Program

Harry Stafylakis Arc of Horizon for chamber orchestra (2015)
Richard Strauss Serenade in E-flat major for winds Op. 7
Mozart Symphony No. 36 in C major K. 425 “Linz”

Tania Miller conductor
