French bass virtuoso François Moutin and adventurous New York-born vocalist Kavita Shah are touring in support of Interplay, a bass and vocal duo recording of jazz standards and original music adapted to this unique instrumentation. The recording’s 11 tracks include guest appearances by legendary octogenarians Martial Solal on piano and National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Sheila Jordan on vocals. Join Kavitah and Francois for their Bassment debut as they embark on an improvisational journey featuring both lyric-driven and wordless compositions.
