About Erin Costelo:

Although she has been compared to icons like Carole King and Nina Simone, Erin Costelo’s fifth studio album cements her status as an utterly inimitable voice in Americana music.

Taking inspiration from sources as varied as Ryan Adams and Randy Newman, Sweet Marie is a genre-defying album that sounds at once timeless, timely and completely fresh.

On Sweet Marie, Erin looks at a world and industry that pushed her to the edge of almost ending her musical career – but she pushes back. Pulsing with a confident and cathartic energy, Erin’s voice soars even as her songs dive deep.

A film documenting the making of the record (directed by Juno award-winning Amelia Curran) will air nationally on November 24th on CBC TV.

About Don Brownrigg:

Don Brownrigg was born in Newfoundland and raised in the quaint, tightly-knit, farming community of Codroy Valley. It was here he first began to hone his ear for music and melody-making, playing the piano and singing, alone and with extended family.

Fast forward to a country known for multi-talented singer/songwriters, the now Halifax-based Brownrigg creates honest and vivid songs and soundscapes resulting in a unique singer-songwriter sound. Both commercial and credible at the same time, Don's songs are enhanced by his rich voice.

He brings his charms, filled with experience and wisdom, to the live stage, and captivates audiences with storytelling and soulful serenades. Don has toured Canada, the United State, and Europe performing with the likes of Serena Ryder, Shawn Colvin, and Great Lake Swimmers and has gained several accolades and acclaim along the way.
