Grammy Award-winning heavy rock quartet Mastodon have confirmed yet another string of North American tour dates and will bring Dinosaur Jr. along for the ride. The seemingly indefatigable Mastodon is about to begin their much anticipated co-headline tour with Primus, which begins in Denver, CO on May 6. Dates with Dinosaur Jr. will kick in almost immediately once that tour has ended. If you’re looking for a night of heavy guitar riffs and excessive audio volume, then look no further this year. A series of ticket pre-sales are as follows: Mastodon and Dinosaur Jr. Fan Club ticket pre-sale begins May 1, at 10:00A.M. local time. Blabbermouth.net pre-sale begins May 2, at 10:00 A.M. local time. All local markets pre-sale begins May 3, at 10:00A.M. local time, and general tickets on sale May 4 at 10:00A.M. local time.

Mastodon said of the tour, “We are so stoked to be doing a proper Canadian and far North American cities tour with the legendary Dinosaur Jr. We've been talking about it for years and it's finally happening!! We hope to see you there!!”

J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. adds, “The first time I saw Mastodon was years ago at the Canadian border. They were ahead of us in line, and breezed right through. Somehow it made it made it seem like maybe we too could cross the border successfully, and everything would be ok. I feel safe with Mastodon traveling through this vast land, and look forward to some killer gigs”.

As previously announced, Mastodon have just revealed yet another unique animated video for “Clandestiny,” a track from their globally acclaimed Reprise Records album Emperor Of Sand. The typically strange video takes place in the not too distant, retro-future (or is it?) and casts a darkly dystopian sci-fi-type projection. The video was directed, produced, animated and edited by Ariel Costa, aka BlinkMyBrain. Costa has created unique videos for Led Zeppelin, Green Day, as well as brand work for The New York Times, Spotify, Fairphone, Facebook and more.
