J.J. Voss delivers a unique brand of gentleman/outlaw Country music derived from his rural roots in western Canada. His dedication as a relentless "live show" road warrior has paid off with prestigious appearances at major music festivals all across North America and Europe. His music is infused with honest, blue collar storytelling in a distinctly Americana flavour.
Career highlights include a WCMA Nomination for producer of the year ( for his work on “ Hillbilly Storybook) a SCMA for “Roots Album” ( Show ‘em Who’s Voss) Live performance showcases in Nashville, two European Tours, shows in Colombia, Mexico, numerous Canadian tours, feature shows at Dauphin’s Countryfest, The Craven Country Jamboree, The Queen City Ex ( Regina) Camrose Big Valley Jamboree, opening slots for Travis Tritt, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, The Mavericks, Johnny Reid, Black Hawk, The Road Hammers and Emerson Drive.
“ Show ‘em Who’s Voss” , his most recent release, produced by Grammy-nominated producer , Harry Stinson (Elton John, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett, Martina McBride, Marty Stuart) in Nashville TN.) had 5 hit radio singles including “Playing For Keeps” and “It’s a Pride Thing which cracked the top 50 in Canada and top 10 on international indie charts.
