Saskatoon flamenco dancer, teacher, choreographer, and producer Kari Alba presents Grito featuring Spanish flamenco singer and dancer Gema “La Milana”. Grito (shout) reflects the passionate sentiments of well-known Spanish poets such as Miguel Cervantes and Federico Garcia Lorca. A passionate and dedicated artist, Gema believes that flamenco goes beyond a simple job or a hobby saying, “Flamenco dance is your way of life and the soul of each of your steps, conditioning every detail of your daily life.” This exciting production will feature guitar, voice, drum, and palmistas percussion blending with elaborately dressed dancers.
