Wednesday, August 2: Gord Bamford

Nice Horse (openers)

Girls just wanna have fun – and Nice Horse are the best of the good-time girls. Born and raised on the Alberta prairies, Kaley Debra, Katie Marie, Brandi Caroline and Krista Lee are ready to unleash a jacked-up, bush-partying bolt of energy on the country music scene.

Nice Horse owes its present to the girls’ past lives. Over the course of their respective careers to date, members of the band have toured across the globe, licensed songs for film, television, and commercials, and showcased domestically and internationally including the Calgary Stampede, Folk Alliance, and SXSW. Individually, they’ve shared the stage with artists as diverse as Carly Rae Jepsen and Steve Earle, sung as the original lead vocalist for Jakalope, lent backups to Mandy Moore, and have over 10 full-length album releases between them, but they’re not ready to settle down. One strong, smart, powerful girl on her own can make a mark - but four together can spark an explosion.

It’s the Zac Brown Band in miniskirts; the Runaways at a hoedown; the Spice Girls on a whiskey bender.

That’s a party. That’s a good time. That’s a Nice Horse.

Gord Bamford

CCMA Male Artist of The Year winner Gord Bamford will kick it off on Wednesday, August 2 with popular country hits like “Where a Farm Used To Be,” “Don’t Let Her Be Gone” and “When Your Lips Are So Close.”

Thursday, August 3: July Talk

July Talk's debut album in 2012 became a staple on modern-rock radio, earning the band a gold record in Canada and a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. July Talk will perform a number of their signature songs like “Lola + Joseph,” the dirty-disco grind “Push + Pull” and first-album favourites like “Guns + Ammunition.”

Friday, August 4: I Mother Earth & The Watchmen (co-headliners)

In a classic rock-n-roll performance that is sure to please, I Mother Earth and The Watchmen will team up to co-headline on Friday, August 4. I Mother Earth will entertain with hits from their critically acclaimed multi-platinum album “Scenery and Fish,” spawning several Canadian top 10 hits with “Raspberry,” “Another Sunday” and “One More Astronaut.” Showing fans why they continue to sell out shows in Canada year after year, Canadian-formed rockers The Watchmen will continue the energy performing hits like “Incarnate” and “Zoom” from their Juno-nominated albums.

Saturday, August 5: Ruth B

Flourishing popstar Ruth B, popular for her hit debut “Lost Boy,” will hit the stage on Saturday, August 5. Fans will be treated to her signature performance of exquisite drum beats mixed with rich vocals, resulting in a beautifully-layered collection of relevant pop hits.

Sunday, August 6: Brett Kissel

Wrapping up the week on the Great Western Stage on Sunday, August 6 will be reigning CCMA Male Artist of the Year and Fans’ Choice winner Brett Kissel! Also a Juno winner, Kissel will get your toes tapping with his Billboard Canada Top 10 singles like “Started With a Song” and “3-2-1,” as well his chart topping #1 single “Airwaves.”
