Originating from Canada’s Capital – Ottawa, Blast From the Sun fuses traditional blues and 60’s inspired rock with elements with Funk, Latin, Jazz and Reggae to create an original and compelling sound. Blast From The Sun is comprised of front man/ singer/guitarist Justin Gunidon, Drummer Andrew Ferderber and Bassists Harrison Singer all of whom bring their own musical expertise and influence to the original compositions.
The band was formed in 2010 and since then has gained a reputation for their energetic live performances at local Ottawa venues as well as at prestigious venues across Canada. During 2016 the band was in the finals of The Ottawa Blues Society, Road to Memphis competition, completed their first cross-Canada tour and was signed on to London Gentleman Records. They will be releasing their first EP in early 2017. The band has also been featured on: CKCU radio, Rogers daytime TV and the CTV morning show.
Blast From The Sun is a group of young musicians looking to make their mark on the Canadian and global music scene.
