NICK FAYE & THE DEPUTIES

Nick Faye & The Deputies are a band from the deepest depths of the Canadian Prairies (Regina, SK). They make music that sticks to your ribs, like a big plate of perogies and sour cream.

The band has shared the stage with a mix of notable artists such as Arkells, July Talk, Andy Shauf, Shad, Rah Rah, Elliot Brood, Library Voices, Northcote, Colter Wall, and Close Talker. They have performed at high profile festivals such as Regina Folk Festival, BreakOut West, Folk Alliance International, CMW, NXNE, and JunoFest.

As of winter 2016-2017, the band has finished recording a new album with Juno and Polaris winning producer Michael Wojewoda (Barenaked Ladies, Buffy Saint Marie, Amelia Curran). Spring 2017 will see Nick embark on his first ever European tour with three showcases at FOCUS Wales.

SKYE WALLACE

Skye Wallace is what happens when a classically trained singer with east coast roots discovers punk rock in their youth and writes folk music that makes you feel excited.Hailed coast to coast as a “national treasure” (Sad Mag), Skye Wallace bases out of Toronto, Ontario.

Her voice and sound, accompanied by her full band, is a force to be reckoned with. Her newest album Something Wicked, produced by Jim Bryson, was listed as one of Vancouver Weekly's Best Albums of 2016 and CBC's Top 8 Albums You Need To Hear This Month. Dubbed by CBC's Stephen Quinn a "kick ass record", Something Wicked will "burn you to the ground" (Vice/Noisey)!

DAGAN HARDING

Based out of Regina Saskatchewan, Montreal Que and Vancouver B.C., Dagan Harding has written, performed and recorded music in various groups and collaborations since 2000, namely Regina's band Despistado (Jade Tree), and now under his own name with his first solo release. Best Times hosts collaborations with various members of the Canadian Indie rock community including Michael Thieven (Library Voices) Jeff Romanyk (Rah Rah), Leif Thorseth (Rah Rah, Despistado), Enver Hampton (Volcanoeless in Canada, Factor Chandelier), Andrea Hedlund (Regina Symphony Orchestra), Travis Packer, Gage McGuire (Surf Dad's) and Loel Campbell (Wintersleep).

RACHEL CARDIELLO

Rachael Cardiello's indie folk/pop is bold, neon, and full of soul. Cardiello and her Toronto-based band bring an orchestral, magnetic soundscape to their sets: equal parts intimate and fierce with a backbone groove that keeps the dancefloor high and vibrant.

Though raised in Montana, Cardiello has spent the past ten years weaving a web of support across Canada and now calls the humid streets of Toronto home. In the summer of 2015, Cardiello's five piece band played 23 shows across Canada including main stages at Tiny Lights, Campbell Bay Music Festival, The Victoria Jazz Festival, South Country Fair and The Brandon Folk Festival. In Toronto, Cardiello's band frequently expands to feature a four piece horn section and backup singers at such venues as The Burdock, Great Hall, Dakota Tavern, Rivoli, Cameron House and the Piston.
