Formed in 2012, it’s hard to believe that this all-girl trio from Saskatchewan is only 17. Canada's Top 4 Finalist for CBC Searchlight in 2017, and winner of Sasktel’s 2015 Songwriter of the Year, The Wolfe touches on relatable subjects that are expressed through their risk-taking, sometimes cheeky, yet stuck-in-your-head catchy tunes. Soft yet powerful vocals are contrasted with an underlay of delayed guitar, gritty bass lines and engaging beats. Having often been compared to Metric and The Cranberries, The Wolfe has also been called “A female U2 that’s able to get heavier and tackle more emotional subjects.”
The Wolfe’s music is something that should not only be heard, but seen. Their high-energy show has graced the stages and captivated the crowds of Borealis Music Festival, Pine Needle Mountain Bike & Music Festival, and the Waskesiu Lakeside Music Festival to name a few. Having released an EP, played over a hundred shows and touched the hearts of many, The Wolfe is just beginning.
