Originally from British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, Brandy Moore spent a decade performing in and around Vancouver before releasing her first self-titled independent CD in 1999. She moved to Regina in 2001 and has since released an additional four independent CDs. Her latest, Real Good Love, was recorded in Nashville at ebtrax studios with guitarist George Marinelli (Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby & The Range), guitarist Mike Loudermilk (Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Crystal Gale), keyboardist Eric Bikales (Patty LaBelle, The Pointer Sisters), bassist Roy Vogt (Glen Campbell, Chet Atkins), drummer Fred Fred Satterfield (The Oakridge Boys, Patty Loveless), and saxophonist Phil Kenzie (Paul McCartney, The Eagles).
Brandy has performed throughout western Canada, the southwestern United States, the Yucatan state of Mexico, and as far south as El Salvador, Central America. She's received national radio airplay, including a CBC special which was recorded in Regina and broadcast nationwide, and has appeared in the Regina Folk Festival, the Mid Winter Blues Festival, the Casino Regina Show Lounge, and many other local venues as a solo singer/songwriter and as the lead vocalist with in classic R&B, funk, soul, Motown and jazz groups.
Her songs speak of the heart, an independent spirit, and a strong belief in social justice.
