Canada’s Top 4 Finalist for CBC Searchlight 2017, The Wolfe has a sound like no other. The band produces an eclectic sound that combines haunting vocals, delayed guitar, gritty bass lines and engaging rhythms. Having been compared to Metric, The Cranberries and U2, The Wolfe has had many say their sound is too unique to pinpoint exactly. The Wolfe is something that should not only be heard, but seen. With the success of their debut self-titled EP, The Wolfe plans to release their second EP, Strange Words, this spring of 2018. Their newest single from their second EP, Tip of My Tongue dropped January 12th 2018 accompanied by a music video. This song has generated quite a buzz, gaining radio play and creating hype for their EP.
The Wolfe’s high energy show has captivated the crowds of New Creek Music Festival, the Regina Folk Festival, and Gateway Music Festival to name a few. They have played along sides acts such as Tegan and Sara and Lights.
The Wolfe’s members may only be 18 years old, but they have accomplished much. Winners of the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best out of Province 2017 and, Prince Albert’s 2017 Best of the Best award for Best Band and Local Musician Gone Good, the band has also been top four finalists in CBC’s Searchlight Competition in 2017. The band has toured Western Canada in the summer of 2017, and their plans are only getting bigger and better. With the drop of Strange Words set for spring, the band plans to tour across Canada in the summer of 2018.
