Mark Schmidt is a music producer, sound engineer, composer, and entertainment consultant based in Regina, SK.
Mark recently completed 7 years as Asst. Entertainment Buyer at Casino Regina Show Lounge (2008 - 2014), talent buying, contracting, advancing and supervising hundreds of shows.
He resumed his production career in 2013 at Blue Door Recording. As well, he became a busy live audio mixer at venues such as the Artesian, the Pump, the Whiskey, and events such as WCMAs, JUNOfest, and the Next Big Thing.

He attended Trebas for music production in Toronto, and spent an additional 5 years there performing, recording and writing music, as well as soaking up an eclectic array of influences. He returned to Regina and opened Earthling Sound in 1994. He became a busy local producer of emerging and established artists from pop to gospel, jazz, and folk. His ambient, gritty, and textural guitar playing and production style had started to become his signature.
He scored for TV, audio books and by 1998, became a composer on the award-winning Incredible Story Studio (Verite Films/Minds Eye/YTV 1998 - 2001) along with Rob Bryanton, Jack Semple, and Dave Lawlor. He's also done a fair bit of sound design for companies like Curtain Razors and New Dance Horizons.
