Description

Spencer Rayner is a Canadian bassist from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. His years of experience and education have rendered an adept competence and knowledge of performance in diverse genres, songwriting, and audio production.  During his time at Humber College in Toronto, he studied under Canadian bass heavyweights, such as Neil Swainson, Mike Downes, Pat Kilbride; recording engineer and producer Ian Terry, Peter Cooke, Danny Greenspoon; and Canadian rock icon Rik Emmett from the band Triumph. He also spent many long haired years playing in various groups such as The Little Brothers, with friend Shamus Currie from The Sheepdogs; The Mahavishnu Experience, with multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, engineer and producer Andrew Kesler; and with the World's Fastest Drummer Tom Grosset.

    Xero FG, by Spencer Rayner, makes his solo bass debut with his release, "Foreign Gravity". His solo bass compositions draw inspiration from Gary Paulsen novels, classical etudes, and daydreams. Foreign Gravity captures an introspective journey throughout the day from the morning sun, the work and play of the day, to the relaxing pleasures of slumber.
