Country Artist, Jackie Guy, with New Song & Video Release "Right Now"

    May 29, 2018

Jackie Guy, five-time Saskatchewan Country Music Association award nominee, has a knack for balancing family life and creative expression. Her long-standing passion for performing and writing country music began early on as bassist and lead vocalist in the band Young Country (winner of Best Original Song in the 1994 GX94 Talent Search) and later in Long Shot. Jason Blume’s Masters Songwriting Class in early 2016 led Jackie back to her first love: songwriting. With new material in the works for an upcoming EP, Jackie looks forward to recording a collaborative effort with Rich McFarlane and Nashville-based Larry Beaird producing. Her single "Right Now", the first track off the EP, was released on May 28, 2018

"Right Now", produced by Larry Beaird (Nashville) and Richard McFarlane (Prince Albert), is a high energy, uplifting love song that Jackie penned as a surprise for her husband to commemorate and celebrate 25 years of marriage.  Enjoy the video!  https://youtu.be/hhgaa1TGjf8

Sask. Country Music Award nominee 2015 for Rising Star and 2014 for Female Vocalist of the Year, country singer-songwriter Jackie Guy released her sophomore album on January 19, 2015. The hardworking mother of seven and physical therapist has found time to further develop her songwriting skills and My Red Guitar is a fantastic collection of eleven originals - equal parts stories, sweetness and sadness, and a testament to her growth as a performer. Recommended for fans of contemporary country, with hints of influences from artists such as Shania Twain and Lorrie Morgan. Produced by: Rich McFarlane. Recorded at: Mosaic Music, Prince Albert.
